Some Nutritional Tidbits

Arrrooo fellow pets and humans! I’m just chillin’ here so I can share with you some notes taken by a fellow Young Living distributor’s notes on some of our great nutritionals and essential oils which Vicki Opfer, a top distributor, shared knowledge on and how she uses these for herself:
“NingXia Red is a vitamin powerhouse, full of aminos, protein, it’s a food that supports the immune system, greatly aids eyesight, molecules protect the cardiovascular system. The wolfberry puree` is anti-aging plus the juices of pomegranate, blueberry, apricot and raspberry. No cheap juices here. Plus the oils of lemon and orange, full of d-limonene, a most powerful constituent.” Their family will be having a NingXia Red toast at a daughter’s wedding. Vicki has researched all the nutritional drinks on the market today and there is NO second choice, not even close.

Vita Green: is her favorite of all time. This nutritional supplement was formulated by Gary back in the days when he had a clinic in Mexico. No zippy ingredients like caffeine or sugar that lift you up and then you come crashing down. She takes 3 caps in the a.m. and 3-5 in the p.m. With the combination of NXR and Vita Green she does not hit the wall late in the day. Vita Green balances the pH in the body.
Vita Green contains spirulina, barley grass, minerals, bee pollen, ginseng, l-arginine, l-tyrosine, choline bitarate, kelp (warms up hands and feet, protects thyroid), melissa ($9-16K a pound!), lemon (d-limonene again), lemongrass, rosemary.

Vicki has added since the early days two more daily products: Longevity caps and Detoxzyme. Longevity also comes as an oil blend and may also be used by filling a 00 capsule. She prefers the Longevity caps for ease and convenience, although the oil has frankincense and the caps do not. The caps contain clove, thyme and orange oil. The clove is a blood thinner and prevents sticky blood. We “rust” (age) from the inside out and clove prevents rusting (oxidating). Thyme is an antiviral and antibacterial, and orange has the all powerful d-limonene. Marc Schreuder (Gary’s righthand man), when asked what oil he would like if he were stranded on a deserted island, said LONGEVITY. Vicki takes one cap in the a.m. and one cap in the p.m.; doubles, triples up if she feels sick coming on (plus Exodus). She says, “Try it for a month and change your world!”

As an aside, Vicki studied with two French doctors, LaPraz and Penoel, and she asked them about using clove oil with prescription drug blood thinners. Their answer was that in their opinion and experience, nature’s remedies do not interfere with our drugs. Vicki believes that, but cautions that being conservative is not a bad thing and each person needs to do their own experiments.
Detoxzyme: As we age we need enzymes, enzymes, enzymes (Joline’s emphasis). Detoxzyme handles well the starches, sugars, proteins and fats. It helps with mineral absorbtion (important) , reduces inflammation, and helps in moving our food faster through our system. She takes 3 in the a.m. and 3 just before bedtime. There are 180 tiny caps in a bottle so a bottle goes a long way. Young Living makes other enzymes, also. (Please read Chapter 29, page 269, Enzyme Therapy, EODR, 3rd Edition [Essential Oils Desk Reference, Essential Science]).
VICKI’S DAILY OILS: (To elevate her mood).
She teaches this in all her classes. The oils do not limit grief but makes it gentler, more harmonious. They take the edge off anger and depression.
Valor: Encourages confidence, raises self-esteem. Drop one drop on one wrist and hold both wrists together and hold for a few seconds. The blend contains spruce, frankincense, blue tansy and almond oil to balance the frequency. (Gary’s Valor Hold: put 2-3 drops on each foot and hold left hand to left foot/right hand to right foot until you feel a pulse in the feet. You can do this on yourself or someone else.)
Harmony: Put one drop on your solar plexus (just above the navel). Contains hyssop, spruce, lavender, geranium, frankincense, ylang-ylang (balancer of male/female energy), sandalwood (together with frankincense contains sesquiterpene – crosses the blood/brain barrier), angelica, rose (highest frequency) orange, bergamot, jasmine, palmarosa, chamomile (soothing) and rosewood.
Joy: Put one drop over your heart. Contains rose, bergamot, mandarin, ylang-ylang, lemon, geranium, jasmine, palmarosa, chamomile, rosewood.
White Angelica: One drop in one hand, rub your two hands together and brush your hands over your entire body starting with your head, shoulders and down. Contains angelica, melissa, sandalwood, geranium, spruce, myrrh, hyssop, bergamot, rosewood.
These oils are antiviral, antibacterial, antispasmodic, antidepressive, antifungal.
The 4 oils cost approximately $150 for a 1-2 year supply. You will never have a sad day again. PRICELESS!
