Melrose & Ringworm

Arrrooo fellow pets and humans! Our friend knows how to use all these oils with cats -and the funny thing is, the typical aromatherapists say it can’t be done, hehe. Well, that’s bepaws they don’t use Young Living Essential Oils -I feel sorry for them, WOOF! So here is another tip from our friend:

Melrose oil contains the following essential oils: Melaleuca (Alternifolia & quinquenervia), rosemary cineol, and clove. It is an antiseptic, antibacterial, antifungal, antiparasitic, anti-inflammatory, anti-infectious, antiviral, and antimicrobial oil. Since it is strong, it has the possibility to cause skin sensitivity.
I suggest diluting it prior to use on cats, but it is by far the very best product on the market today to treat ringworm! I found a wonderful excerpt on ringworm from my friend Bree’s site and I am going to ask her permission to post it in the files area for everyone to read. It gives some wonderful information on the FUNGUS ringworm. In the mean time, here is the site you can visit: http://www.preciouspets.org/newsletters/articles/ringworm-pets.htm. She has many articles that I want to get my hands on and use (with permission of course) so it is worth your time to check this site out!
Anyway, this fungus can be transferred from animal to animal and from animal to human. This is called “zoonotic” which means it is transferable from animal to human and vise versa. Often kittens are put to sleep if they contract ringworm because it can cause an epidemic in catteries. With Melrose oil, the kitten doesn’t need to be euthanized or even confined to its own quarters for weeks on end while the treatment takes effect. Using Melrose 3 times daily is enough to knock that fungus right out of the home and it helps to keep it from spreading. When I get a cat with ringworm, I used Melrose 3 times a day and within 10 days, the hair is already growing back!
So, for anyone who does a great deal of rescue work with cats, or knows someone who owns a cattery, Melrose oil is a must to always have on hand!
In addition to getting rid of ringworm, since it is an anti-fungal oil, it is awesome for athlete’s foot!
On top of that, Melrose is a strong topical antiseptic that cleans and disinfects cuts, scrapes, burns, rashes, bites, and even bruised areas. It helps to regenerate damaged tissue as well as reduces inflammation and destroys odors.
