Arrrooo fellow pets and humans! Grrrrrrr, I hate fleas. They tick me off, hehe. But our friend Jeannie has a solution fur you and none of it costs much and you can get all these products in your grocery store and from your garden supply. We hope you have happy, flea-free days!!! Here’s Jeannie!
“…Frontline does not prevent fleas, it uses toxic chemicals to kill fleas. Those same chemicals are going into your dog’s blood stream and compromising her immune system.
Prevention is the key and building up your dog’s immune system so she never has to worry about fleas again.
The place to start is with wholesome nutrition and supplementation to get the immune system functioning again.
Wash all bedding in HOT water and Vinegar solution. Dry in the dryer at hottest setting. Vacuum floors, carpet and furniture every three days and throw the vacuum cleaner bag away OUTSIDE after each vacuuming. (Fleas love to set up house in dark, dirty vacuum cleaner bags)
Sprinkle and work in with a stiff broom, Borax Powder or Diatomaceous Earth into any carpet and sprinkle around your baseboards. You can even apply the DE (make sure it is food grade) on to your Collie and work it down to the skin. Any fleas that crawl across the DE in your home or on your dog will have it’s little exo skeleton sliced open and it will dehydrate and die!
