By Doc Kim on Jul 1, 2005 in Essential Oils & Nutritionals for Dogs, Flea, Tick, Mosquito, Mite, Parasite Prevention, Natural Dog Health

Hi fellow pets and people! Oh man, I’m gettin’ scratchy itchy all over just thinkin’ bout those ucky mange mites!!!!! Rrrrrrr. Then to top it off with heartworms? Oh arrooooooo! I have a new friend who will be featured here soon. She’s got this cuz her people didn’t take care of her. She’s living with a wrrrroonderful foster mom now who’s takin’ care of her with real food -MEAT, my favorite! -and herbs and oils! I’ll have her featured here during the contest. Hey, don’t forget to ENTER it. You have to ENTER the contest to be able to win! WOOOF!
-Mange-
Herbs: garlic, mullein, vid E, lavender, yarrow,
oregon grape, goldenseal, licorice (you can make a
poultice, tincture, ointment, or put on food).
Flower essences: crab apple (can not over-dose a dog on flower essences, I’d
recommend putting a full dropper into the dogs mouth everyday, on the dogs
food, or on the inside of the tips of the ears and the
brain stem area, really anywhere on the body).
Essential oils: thieves, nutmeg, digize, anise, clove,
fennel, hyssop, purification, longevity, melaleuca,
mountain savory, oregano, tangerine, tarragon, theyme
(can blend with v-6, massage oil, or cream, such as
animals scents ointment, and rub on belly or infected
areas)
Supplements: Parafree, cleansing trio
-Heartworms-
Herbs: hawthorn, digestive enzymes, probiotic, black
walnut hull, echinacha, goldenseal
Flower essences: crabapple
Essential oils: Aromalife(rub on heart area), Thieves,
lavender, marjoram, peppermint, rose, rosemary, (&
same as above), RDT!
Supplements: HRT, Ningxia Red, Cardiacare, Sulfurzyme,
Powermeal, Mineral Essence, Parafree, Cleansing Trio
-Flee/tick/misquito repellant-
In a dark spray bottle blend any hydrosol or purified
water with essential oils of pine, cedarwood,
idaho tansy, lavender, peppermint, citrus, lemongrass,
Purification, Thieves, and/or Melrose. Shake well
before each use (spray whole body of dog each day).
If I were you and only had to choose a few things, I’d
treat both conditions with Parafree, Cleansing Trio,
HRT, Di-Gize, Thieves, RDT(best IMO), Longevity
and Aromalife! You can give the Di-Gize, Longevity, and
Thieves internally. You could also rub the Animal
Scents Ointment on the skin’s infected area (sometimes
there are patches of fur loss). The Animal Scents
Shampoo is wonderful too! And the supplements can be
put on the food-
(Longevity does NOT taste good,
so will need to be blended in really good with meat, only one drop).
All of the above suggestions were from Heather Harings, a friend also does all natural care and rescue.
Wooooo woooof! I feel MUCH better knowing we have these things to help us be well. Mange and heartworms scary me so I’m glad we have all these things to help us NOT get them! WOOOOOOF! Have a pawsitively tail waggin’ day! WOOF!
