Hi fellow pets and humans! Grrrrrrr. Grrrrowl! I HATE heartworms. They hurt us and even kill us so I hate them and their carriers -mosquitos, grrrrrrowl. Woof, but we can get rid of them naturally with OILS! WOOF! Love em love em love em, they’re my favorites!
I’m gonna break it down for you kay? The heartworm preventative drugs -grrrr, thrbt, yuck -can make us real sick…

We can start vomiting or have diarrhea or even um…okay convulse Mom said. They can make our immune system not want to work right cuz it thinks that the heartworm prevention is poison. So our bodies want make it go away and then work really hard to kick the medicine out of us. That makes our bodies so tired too. Then that makes all the bacteria and other bugs like us to make us sicker! Grrrowl.

I don’t know if you know it but it is the mosquitos that cause these heartworms to get in us. The parasites get in us when the mosquitos bite us…grrrowl I should bite em back! Then their larvae get into our blood and travel to our hearts to make a big mess and nest there. That is what kills us. Like a heart attack. Very scary. I don’t want them but I don’t want the meds either cuz those can make us sick too.

If you humans keep us on heartworm meds those meds can be the catalyst that cause diseases in us like arthritis, liver and kidney diseases and allergies. Oh no. Not those again. I bet you didn’t know that even if you have us on the meds the mosquitos will still bite us and then the meds (they’re like putting a pesticide in our blood) kill the larvae in the blood. Still PESTICIDE in our blood???? Why would you do that???

I know my mom doesn’t do that to me. She uses OILS! Yippee! Then the mosquitos don’t even like us and won’t even bite us and no pesticides in our blood, WOOF! The oils are anti-parasites, wooooooof! They keep them off of us and ticks and fleas too! Rrrrrrowf!

The ones you can use to make them not even want to come close to us or bite us are:
Geranium essential oil and you can also use these for mosquitoes
Lemongrass essential oil
Lavender essential oil

The fleas hate Peppermint essential oil and Lemongrass essential oil too. The ticks hate the Lemongrass, lavender and also the Sage and Thyme ones! Yippee! My mom puts lemongrass on me everyday to keep the mosquitoes, fleas and ticks off of me and it doesn’t cost much either. I like the smell, it’s my favorite!! Peppermint kills fleas and ants FAST! So you might want to get a few of them to try.
